Since July, Twitter’s algorithm gets occasionally hijacked by bot-farmed posts from the Saudi-based account @xIsraelExposedx, which floods the ‘For You’ pages of many with gore from the ArchiveGenocide website. The site hosts a massive collection of graphic clips, over 64000, which it claims are proof of “genocide” in Gaza. It is designed to feel like the ultimate receipt. Like someone finally archived the “truth”. But here’s the thing: a receipt without a chain of custody is just a screenshot. And a screenshot can lie.
We are not going to tell you war is not horrific, and we are not going to tell you Gazans are not suffering. We are here to remind you that horror is NOT the same as proof, and a website with a conclusion in its name is NOT a neutral archive. This is simply an objective breakdown of ArchiveGenocide that your algorithm doesn’t want you to read.
Selection Bias 101
ArchiveGenocide is in essence a curated collection with a predetermined narrative. Raw footage does not mean verified evidence, especially when this unverified footage is just selected clips that exclude crucial context like Hamas rocket launches from civilian areas, or IDF warnings before strikes. All those clips and yet there is no context on dates, there is no context on locations. In a war zone with millions of smartphones, thousands of journalists, and an active information war, you can generate tens of thousands of clips in a week. So even though 64,000 sounds like a lot, it is designed to, 64,000 clips is NOT 64,000 confirmed atrocities. Quantity is not quality because the question is not how many. The question is: How many are verified? How many are dated? How many are geolocated? How many are combatant deaths mislabeled as civilian? How many are old footage from Syria, Yemen, or even video games? ArchiveGenocide doesn’t say. It just stacks the pile higher and hopes you will be too overwhelmed to ask.
Context Check
ArchiveGenocide does not differentiate combatants from civilians, it manipulates you into assuming every casualty is a civilian. It completely ignores Hamas using human shields, tunnels, and civilian infrastructure. For every rubble and collapsed building, it makes no distinction whatsoever between Hamas military targets and civilian infrastructure. It ignores all the numerous Israeli warnings, aid corridors, and evacuation orders while conspicuously refusing to acknowledge Israel’s right to self-defense. It ignores all this, so as to manipulate you into ignoring all these verified facts:
• Hamas built hundreds of miles of tunnels under hospitals, schools, and mosques.
• Hamas launches rockets from civilian neighborhoods.
• Hamas steals humanitarian aid and uses civilians as human shields.
• Israel opens humanitarian corridors and allows aid in, while Hamas diverts aid.
• The IDF drops leaflets, makes phone calls and uses roof-knocking to warn civilians before strikes.
• October 7: 1200 Israelis killed, 250 hostages taken. That’s context, not an excuse. If anyone claims to document war crimes but never shows you why the war started, who started it, or how one of the warring parties operates, they are not documenting, they are editing.
The G-word
The 1948 Genocide Convention defines genocide as specific acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. Intent is the hard part. You need policy. Orders. Statements. A pattern of deliberate destruction. War is horrific, but horror is not genocide. A video of a bombing proves a bombing happened, it does NOT prove the bomber intended to destroy an entire ethnic group. It does not prove the policy was genocide. It does not prove the legal threshold has been met. So if you are going to throw around the g-word, you need more than a montage of gore. You need a case, which ArchiveGenocide does not have, as it provides no analysis of Israeli policy or IDF military orders. It is just an endless gratuitous assortment of tragedy.
Conclusion
The Saudi-based organizers of ArchiveGenocide claim to be “researchers”, but real researchers publish methodologies, they disclose funding, and transparently welcome peer-review. ArchiveGenocide has done none of these simple tasks. Instead, it exploits genuine human suffering and banks on the raw emotions of the masses overriding their critical thinking, so as to manipulatively advance its sinister one-sided agenda.
