Twitch Brainrot gets Luckey Correction

Defense contractor and Oculus VR founder Palmer Luckey decided to drop an uncomfortable truth bomb after pro-Palestine Twitch streamers attempted to boycott his video game hardware company ModRetro. They claim ModRetro “arms the IDF” and “killS Palestinians”, noting that Luckey even made a special edition ModRetro Chromatic handheld console “from the same metal used in his Anduril drones that have been used in the Palestinian genocide.”

Luckey responded on X/Twitter. His response was correct, and we will explain why, while introducing you to the terminally online parasocial mob attacking him.

What Luckey Said

“Angry Twitch streamers are trying to cancel other Pokemon streamers because ModRetro ‘arms the IDF’, ‘kills Palestinians’, etc. The funny thing is that while I do personally support Israel and the continued existence of a Jewish state, neither Anduril nor ModRetro have actually sold anything to them. Twitch/Amazon, on the other hand… Nothing screams low-information voter quite like pleading with people to Stand with Palestine and Stop Genocide by subbing to their Twitch, lmao”

The Fact Check

Claim 1: “Neither Anduril nor ModRetro have actually sold anything to them [Israel].”

Status: True.

Anduril is exploring an Israeli expansion. They’re interviewing former IDF generals. They’re meeting with the Ministry of Defense. They’re doing market research. But they haven’t signed a contract. They haven’t delivered a product. They haven’t sold a weapon.

Claim 2: “Twitch/Amazon, on the other hand…”

Status: True. And devastating.

Amazon Web Services runs Project Nimbus. This is a $1.2 billion contract with the Israeli government. It provides cloud infrastructure, AI, and data storage to the IDF.

Amazon operates a local cloud region in Israel. It processes and stores data for Israeli security agencies on Israeli soil. The planned investment is $7.2 billion. It’s estimated to add $13.9 billion to Israel’s GDP by 2037. Amazon also provides AI tools used for operational capabilities in Gaza. Cloud storage for safety and surveillance, for targeting systems.

Twitch is owned by Amazon. So when the angriest Twitch streamer Hasan Piker screams “Free Palestine” on stream, he’s using Amazon infrastructure. When you subscribe to him, you’re paying Amazon. When you donate bits, you’re funding the company that powers the IDF’s cloud.

Luckey is right. That is not just a low-information voter, that’s a negative-information voter.

The Streamer Hypocrisy Files

Let’s go through the receipts. And there are a lot of them.

• Hasan Piker

Hasan Piker has 3 million Twitch followers and broadcasts under the handle HasanAbi. In August 2026, he stated on a livestream that Jewish American support for Israel is “making antisemitism worse”. Essentially blaming Jews for the hatred directed at them.

In May 2025, Piker was momentarily suspended from Twitch for reading the manifesto of Elias Rodriguez, the terrorist who murdered two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington DC. He said Rodriguez was “brain-broken by Gaza.”

Piker, who is of Turkish descent, ironically calls Israel “Jewish ISIS”.

This is the man who lectures millions on “genocide”, while streaming on Amazon-owned Twitch.

• Sneako

Sneako has been permanently banned from Twitch for “extreme hateful conduct.” He declared “Down with the Jews! Free Palestine” on a livestream, saying, “Every conspiracy theory from the last century is just Israel!” He chanted Nazi slogans while listening to Kanye West’s antisemitic song, “Heil Hitler”. He refers to Hamas as “freedom fighters” and has openly mocked the Holocaust death toll, sarcastically saying “It’s 6 million! You can’t say anything less.”

In 2026, the Haitian descent streamer attacked an Isreali teenager on stream, mocking him and starting a “Free Palestine” chant while thousands watched live.

Sneako is the embodiment of the movement that is moralizing against Luckey.

• xQc

In August 2025, during a charity stream for water purification in Africa, xQc and another streamer started chanting “Free Palestine” live on air.

A charity event. For water. And the French Canadian streamer turned it into a brainrot yelling match. That’s not awareness. That is narcissism with a microphone and an incomprehensible accent.

Analysis

Some YouTube reviewers have pulled their coverage of ModRetro’s Chromatic handheld console because it is made from “attack drone metal” by Luckey Palmer’s Anduril Industries, claiming the device was “almost ghoulish in celebrating its connection to the arms trade”.

But ModRetro has sold nothing to Israel. Amazon has a $1.2 billion contract with Israel. These outrage-mongering reviewers stream on Amazon-owned platforms, they use Amazon cloud services. They pay Amazon every month.

Compare their hypocrisy to what Palmer Luckey is doing: telling the truth.

Luckey is not pretending Anduril is innocent. He is saying they haven’t sold to Israel yet. He is not pretending he doesn’t support Israel. He says it explicitly: “I do personally support Israel and the continued existence of a Jewish state.”

He’s pointing at the actual complicity. Amazon. Twitch. The infrastructure these streamers rely on every single day.

Verdict

Luckey is right about Anduril. They haven’t sold to Israel. They’re exploring it. That’s not a crime. That’s business.

Luckey is right about Amazon. Project Nimbus is real. The $1.2 billion contract is real. The AI and cloud services to the Israeli military are real. Twitch is owned by Amazon. Every subscription, every bit, every donation flows through Amazon’s infrastructure.

Luckey is right about the streamers. Hasan Piker blamed Jews for antisemitism. Sneako chanted Nazi slogans and called Hamas freedom fighters. xQc chimped out and turned a water charity into a Palestine protest. These are the type of people demanding you boycott a Game Boy clone.

And here’s the real lesson: The loudest moralizers are often the most compromised. Check where the money flows. Check who owns the platform. Check who benefits from the outrage.

Palmer Luckey benefits from Anduril’s success. But he’s not the one running a $1.2 billion cloud contract with the Israeli military. Amazon is.

What Must Be Done

Follow the infrastructure. Don’t just look at who says what. Look at who owns the pipes. Twitch is Amazon. Amazon is Project Nimbus. Project Nimbus is Israeli military infrastructure.

Audit the activists. If Hasan Piker wants you to boycott ModRetro, ask him why he’s still on Twitch. Consistency is the only defense against manipulation.

Don’t be a pawn. You don’t have to choose between a defense contractor and a streamer. You can hold both accountable. But accountability requires accuracy. And accuracy requires looking at the actual contracts. Don’t let the algorithm tell you who the villain is.
